Burnham, Ronald A. "Ron" Age 85, of Anoka. Ron was born to Opal and Aaron Burnham on December 10, 1932, in Decatur, Illinois. The Burnham family moved to Anoka, MN, when Ron was nine years old. He attended Franklin Elementary School and graduated from Anoka High School in 1951, where he was a wrestler. Ron served in the US Navy during the Korean War. He met Geraldine Joann Vetruba in 1953, and they married on September 24, 1955. They had four children: Suzie, Rick, Steve, and Terry. Over the years, Ron worked at Honeywell, the Mug and Razor barbershop, the Anoka-Hennepin school district, and the Anoka Electric Co- Operative (now Connexus Energy), from which he retired at age 62. Ron's sense of humor, generosity, wisdom and exuberant, engaging personality will be greatly missed. Ron is survived by his loving wife, Geraldine, sister Nancy Mueller, daughter Suzie (Carl) Hanson, son Rick (Barbara) Burnham, son Steve (Stacey) Burnham, daughter Terry (Todd) Protivinsky, grandchildren Ben, Galen, Daniel, Aaron, Andrea, Ryan, Kyle, David (Ashley), Johnny (Dani), great-granddaughter Harmony, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Aaron and Opal, and his beloved granddaughter Nicole. Funeral services Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at 2 PM at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, 2005 Branch Avenue, Anoka. Interment Forest Hill Cemetery, Anoka. Visitation Tuesday, 5-8 PM at the funeral home.
