Stephens, Zoe Heaven has gained an angel and we have lost ours, but she will always be with us in spirit. Zoe Ann Stephens was born 08/22/1934 in St. Paul and passed away 10/10/2017 in Coon Rapids at the age of 83 years. After receiving her traditional Catholic School upbringing in St. Paul, she continued her education at Saint Catherine's College obtaining her RN degree. Zoe worked in the OB unit of Mercy Hospital when it opened in Coon Rapids. After retiring from Mercy Hospital in 1982 , she continued her care giving skills as a pediatric home health care nurse. She eventually went into full time retirement with her husband and made many memories and wonderful friends at Lake Osakis, which was their summer get away. Zoe is survived by her 6 wonderful children & spouses, 12 fantastic grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren: Julie & Kevin Ward with Erin (Brett), Ryan (Jamie), Megan (Arthur); Jeff & Cara Stephens with Joshua and Matthew; Bill & Justine Stephens with Dennis (Jess), Rachel, Kate, Ben; Mary Larson with Stephen; Dan (Kate McKenny) with Stephanie, Austin, and Kate's daughters Rebekah, Heather and Melissa; and John Stephens. Great grandchildren Kinsley, Kaden, Hayden, Meela, and Piper. Zoe is preceded in death by her parents, William and Ellen Lust., infant sister Mary, husband Edgar of 61 years, as well as many beloved cocker spaniels. We will miss her kind and gentle sole as well as her unconditional love. Mass of Christian Burial Friday, 10:00 AM with reviewal one hour prior at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, 525 Jackson St., Anoka. Visitation Thursday 5-7 PM with and 7 PM prayer service at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, 2005 Branch Ave., Anoka. Interment Ft. Snelling Cemetery.
