IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Zachary Lee
Thompson
March 27, 1991 – November 5, 2020
Zachary Lee Thompson who was raised in Andover, MN and was currently living in Blaine passed away suddenly at his home on Thursday, November 5th, 2020. Although only 29 at the time of his death Zach influenced and inspired many people. Zach was deeply devoted to his family and friends - accepting people as they were; encouraging them and lifting them up. He was a generous, kind-hearted soul who was always reaching out to people being a light in their darkest times. Zach had an infectious personality, a smile that could light up the room, and a good sense of humor. Growing up Zach enjoyed hunting, fishing, basketball, baseball, skate boarding, football, BMX bike racing, and anything to do with cars. Zach attended Meadow Creek Church in Andover, MN until sometime after he graduated from Anoka High School. He most recently had been attending Eagle Brook Church in Blaine, MN. Earlier this year he was attending a bible study at Family Baptist Church in North Minneapolis called Second Saturday in the City that he really enjoyed. Zach was a born salesman. He started selling dirt bikes at the age of 15. He then moved on to selling cars from the driveway until age 17. After that he became the after-market sales manager at Saxon Auto World in Elk River because legally he couldn't sell cars at a dealership until he was 18. Throughout his career he worked for a few different dealerships, the most current one being Luther North Country Ford in Coon Rapids, MN. Zach had recently started playing flag football and loved it so much he was talking about trying out for a semi pro team. He also enjoyed playing Fantasy football. We are at peace knowing Zach is in heaven with his perfect Father because he committed his life to the Lord a few years ago. One of Zach's favorite verses was Psalm 118:6: "The Lord is on my side, I will not fear. What can man do to me?" Zach is survived by his parents Richard and Tamara (Kohler) Thompson, his sister Stephanie, and brother-in-law Jae Ahn, his grandmothers Rose Thompson and Alice Kohler, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Zach was preceded in death by his grandfathers Robert Thompson and Leo Kohler and his maternal uncle Jeffrey Kohler. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 19th, at 10 AM at Eagle Brook Church in Anoka, MN.
