William (Bill) R. Hedlund, age 93 of Champlin, MN passed away unexpectedly Wednesday November 24,  2021. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday December 11, 10:30AM, followed by lunch at Christy  Smith Funeral home, Morningside Chapel. A Private interment is at 3:00PM in Memorial Park Cemetery,  Sioux City.

Bill was born in Sioux City, IA on February 11, 1928 to parents Reuben and Alletha (Ingebrigtsen)  Hedlund. He graduated from Central High School in 1946. He went on to graduate from the Sioux City  School of Business then hired as a Manager for Knapp and Spenser. There he met his loving wife of 64  years Beverly (Earith) Hedlund. They were married at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sioux City and went on  to have six children.

Bill then worked in Bakery product delivery for Red Star Yeast. He joined the Bakery Union and his family  was moved to Minneapolis in 1962 where Bill worked for Universal Foods for 45 years as a  driver/warehouse manager until he retired.

Bill is survived by five of his children, Connie Lobeck, Steve Hedlund (Cheryl), Linda Williams (Bill), Bruce  Hedlund (Darlene) and Roger Hedlund (Michelle) many grandchildren and great grandchildren, sister-in law Marvis Hendrickson, cousin Brent Hedlund and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife Beverly, son Dennis, parents Reuben and Alletha, and sisters Jean  Skaff and Carolyn Geeron.
