Obituary

William J. "Bill" Kasper, age 88 of Coon Rapids, passed away on Friday, April 17, 2020 at St.Therese Care Center in New Hope.

Bill was born and raised in St. Michael, MN.  After graduating from 8th grade, he began his real-world education by working on the family farm.  He married the love of his life, Ramona Dischinger in 1954 and moved to Coon Rapids.  They were blessed with 8 children.  In 1954, Bill began working construction while continuing working on the farm during planting and harvesting seasons and on Saturdays.  Bill was an avid Minnesota Twins fan.  He loved to dance the polka with Ramona.  He collected antique gas engines and antique tractors.

Bill was a proud lifetime member of Laborers Int'l Union Local 563, Knights of Columbus, and the Nowthen Historical Power Association.  He was an usher at St. Stephen's Church for 50+ years and volunteered in many other roles at St. Stephen's.  He was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and ACBC Food Shelf.  Bill had a great sense of humor & loved to joke and laugh with people.

Bill was welcomed into heaven by his wife of 61 years, Ramona; infant sons, Timothy and John; infant grandsons, Matthew and Jeremy, parents; siblings, Cyril, Annella Langer, and Dennis.  He is survived by his children, Teresa, Joyce (Mike) Spicer, Julie (Mike) Moran, Mark Kasper, Lisa (Mark) Blumhoefer, and Anthony (Katie); grandchildren, Joel (Maria) Gholami, Lacey (Marty) Camp, David Gholami, Ryan (Colleen McCarthy), Jessica (Dave) Washington, Robert Price, Steven Moran,  Brittany (Jake Collison) Kasper, Christopher and Gabriel Kasper; great-grandchildren, Alaya Camp, Davion and Delilah Washington, Stella Collison; siblings, Margaret (Ronald) Duerr, Ardell Taylor, Rosanna (Larry) Schulte, LeRoy (Marlene) Kasper, and Lester (Marlene) Kasper.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, 525 Jackson Street, Anoka.  Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery following Mass.  There will be no visitation prior to Mass.
