Mathies, Wendelin Michael age 98, of Dayton. Born June 19, 1919 and passed away peacefully on Dec. 28, 2017. Preceded in death by loving wife, Marcella; infant daughter, Susan; parents; 4 brothers and 5 sisters. Survived by children, Janis Lambert, Roger (Judy) Mathies, Wayne Mathies, Dawn (Brian) Coughlin, Scott (Beth) Mathies and Ken (Kathy) Mathies; grandchildren, Lorri (Todd) Wagner, Terese (Chris) Atkins, Stacy (Tim) Lund, Chad (Lisa) Mathies and Jessica Mathies; great-grandchildren Corbin Mathies and Annie Atkins. Funeral service 11:00 AM Wednesday, 1/3/2018 at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, 2005 Branch Ave., Anoka. Visitation Tuesday 5-8 PM and one hour prior to service.
