Warren was born in Faribault to Eldon and Helen Prinzing on May 20, 1965. He lived in Faribault until he was 6 and then moved to Larabee and Cherokee, Iowa where he lived until he was in his early 20's. That is when he moved back to Minnesota and moved in with his good friend Joel Schallehn, who he met in elementary school in Iowa. Joel was Warren's dearest friend from the time they met. They had so many incredible times together, and there was always another story that you had never heard when they got together and started talking about good times.
Warren met Cynthia 20 years ago (just at the end of January) when he was working out at the Fighting Dragons Martial Arts School which was across the hall from her original dance studio. Warren and Cynthia really connected from the first time they met. Cynthia remembers that what drew her to him was that he was always so happy. Warren had a great smile as everyone knew.
Warren and Cynthia got married on December 25, 1994 in Clearwater, Florida. Cynthia's brother Wes, a Navy Chaplain officiated, at their wedding outside in a park. They enjoyed having their anniversary on Christmas Day every year and had just celebrated their 16th wedding anniversary.
Their three children are Arielle (18), Caroline (14), and Ian (10). Warren connected with his children in many different ways. Arielle and Warren really connected with music, and they talked so much about everything and he was always telling her things about life that he wanted her to know. Caroline and Warren also bonded over music and movies. He was always teaching the two about defending themselves with martial arts moves, and anytime either one of them would walk by, he would say...here, let me show you how to do this! With Ian he loved to wrestle on a regular basis, and it would be in the living room, but it always seemed like it was on the bed in the bedroom. Warren and Cynthia often watched movies with their children and he enjoyed watching many different types of movies with them. Ian and Warren loved watching WWII movies, and they all enjoyed watching classic movies together and oftentimes an old, sappy movie they happened to come upon that was on TV. Family bike rides were fun and competitive...who's going to be in the front! But Warren enjoyed biking with all of them and there were many leisurely bike rides around the neighborhood.
Warren is also survived by his four siblings; Mary, Michael, Jon, and Janet and he had a special relationship with them all. He looked up to them all for the different strengths they all had, some things in common, and others to admire about them. Warren had a special connection with each of his siblings and loved them dearly.
He also was a wonderful son-in-law to his mother-in-law, Marilyn Anderson. He would run errands for her, bring her places, repair things that needed to be done, pick up anything she needed and deliver it to her and he always did it with a smile.
Warren worked at Stylmark for overs 21 years. At his work, he was well respected and loved, and he brought the same high standards to his work at Stylmark as he did with everything else he did. He worked hard and conscientiously, and wanted to improve anything he could for the company's benefit. Warren came up with many ideas for saving his company money. He was the shipping department lead, and was environmentally green before anyone knew what that was. He came up with a plan for his department to have a shredding machine in order to save on having to pay someone to haul away material, and also to save on having to purchase other material by using the shredder to remove unwanted material and use it for packing. This was just one of his ideas. He had good friends there that he worked with from the beginning; Reedy Martin and Deb England (the 3 Muskateers including Warren) and in the last few years, he worked closely with AJ and Shirley. He enjoyed working with all and they were his family too as they spent so much time together.
His favorite things to do were....spending time with his family, working on projects and doing them to perfection, listening to music, canoeing and camping, playing his guitar, drinking beer with friends and family, looking at speakers and cars online, sparring and doing the Martial Arts with his brother Michael and some good buddies as well as anyone at home who would participate.
Warren enjoyed so many things with each of his children and with his wife....he loved the Martial Arts and was constantly teaching Arielle and Caroline different sparring techniques. They would listen to music and spar, and joke and laugh. With Ian, he was always doing projects; any project that Warren was working on, he had Ian there keeping him company and assisting with something.....doing school science projects, building model airplanes, electrical connection stuff, and always wrestling....
He loved playing his electric guitar, that he taught himself and was teaching himself how to play along with learning how to play from his brother Jon. Oftentimes when Warren played it would be so loud that Cynthia would yell....shut the door! But he had so much fun playing his guitar.
He enjoyed going on the computer and shopping for speakers for the music in our house, and for the dance studio. We all thought he was obsessed about speakers....We would all see him online checking them out, and just the other day, Caroline came in and he was looking at speakers online, and she said to him, "speakers!" Warren knew he was speaker crazy and we enjoyed teasing him about it.
Warren loved the outdoors, and would build fires in the backyard and he would sit outside and enjoy the fire with the kids, and Cynthia if he could get her to join in. Smores were often on the menu. He loved his yard, and wanted it to be beautiful. Sometimes if he allowed us to help him with it, it would a tricky deal to make sure that we didn't get it wrong because everything had a high standard because that is how Warren did everything.
He made the house a walk-out, and his brother Michael came over with his bobcat and they dug out a ton of dirt, but then he shoveled just as much again by hand. He built the huge fence around the yard, mostly by himself, with some help from Michael. Several times after he built it, strangers would come to the door to ask if we would tell them who built our fence, so they could have that company build one for them.
He tiled floors, he built a patio, he replaced windows, he built decks, he built anything he put his mind to and he did it well. He was asked by many people to come and do projects on their house....he built a deck for a friend of Cynthia's and did flooring and other projects for several friends at work.
Not only that, he helped everyone in the family who needed help with things. He helped his sisters, his mother-in-law, his sister-in-law, his brother-in-law.... you name it....if someone needed help with installing something, or fixing something, he would do it.
Although he died so suddenly, we learned that Warren did not have a heart attack and his coronary arteries were clean. Warren was very health conscious, and took great care to eat right and work out and he wanted to feel good and enjoy the benefits of good health.
He will be so dearly missed by so many and this is just a short narration of why he will be so greatly missed.
To my husband Warren; I loved you so much....Cynthia
