Volodymyr (Wally) Synicyn, age 76, of Ramsey, died September 7, 2022. Wally was born in Germany, grew up in Brazil and moved to the United States in 1963. He married his wife, Zena, in 1968 and they lived most of their lives together in Ramsey. He worked at Superior Plating for nearly 40 years and retired in 2011. Wally enjoyed fishing, gardening and spending time with his family. He loved nature and often visited the north shore. Wally was married to his wife, Zena for 54 years. They had two daughters: Anne (Gary) Meyer and Lisa (Chris) Helgestad. He was grandfather to five: Cody Meyer, Kayla (Andy) Ruegemer, Jack Meyer, Nicholas Helgestad and Zachary Helgestad. And great-grandfather to two: Joshua and Barrett Ruegemer. He had one brother, Jorge (Bonnie) Synicyn and one niece and three nephews: Mike (Leah) Synicyn and their children, Makenzie, Hunter, Kailee, Brooklynn and Michael. Matt (Melinda) Synicyn and their children, Taylor and Matt. Mark (Nicole) Synicyn and their daughter, AJ. Michelle (Charles) Haylock and their children, Charlie, Connor and Claira. He was preceded in death by his parents, Symon and Luba Synicyn; parents-in-law, Alexander and Sophia Lychwar. Funeral service 11 AM Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at Thurston-DeShaw Funeral Home, 13817 Jay St. NW, Andover. Visitation 1 hour prior to service.
