Ridge, Virginia Maria (Gagnon) of Oak Grove, Minnesota, ageless at 92, departed this life as graciously as she lived on October 23, 2014. Gina had a huge loving heart, sweet smile and bright spirit that embraced everyone she met creating community and fellowship. Gina was an active member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and volunteered her services there until her death. She was a golden member of PEO, a woman's educational organization and past president of her chapter. A prolific reader, she loved playing bridge, doing the crossword puzzle each morning and baking pies for all occasions. Born January 23, 1922 in Duluth, MN, she moved to Anoka with her family in 1924. She graduated from Anoka high school in 1940, and the Minnesota School of Business as a legal secretary in 1942. She worked for various law firms in Mpls and Anoka until her marriage to William G. Ridge (deceased). She felt her greatest accomplishment was creating a loving family with Will. Married for 63 years they are survived by their 3 children, Rebecca (Alex), Jon (Judi), Aaron (Lorna), 3 grandchildren, her daughter-in-law, MayLing Chan and a large extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and beloved friends. Gina was the heart and soul of her family and will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her. A funeral mass will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 19921 Nightingale St NW, Cedar on Friday 31 October at 11am followed by a luncheon in the Church hall. Viewing will begin at 9:30am.
