Veryl Gwen Blomquist (nee Reierson) age 86 of Anoka, May 22, 1934- January 3, 2021. Born in Minneapolis to Gustav and Hulda Reierson. Preceded in death by her parents; brother, Raymond and granddaughter, Gina Rae. She is survived by her husband, Richard; their children Kathi (Ken Rowe) Kristin, Richard (Patty) and Karine (Jason Ruis); grandchildren, David, Kate, Rachel, Jordan, Jaida, Kadyn, Megan, Joe, and Michael Dicks; great-grandchildren, Hayley and McKenna Dicks and Eliana Grimes. Graduated from St Louis Pk HS and UMN, where she was a member of Gamma Phi Sorority. She married Richard in December of 1955 and had 65 wonderful years together. Veryl made a difference in so many lives and shared Jesus at every opportunity. She loved being on the water and her favorite places were the cabin up north and winters in Florida. She looked at life through rosy glasses and had a kind word for everyone. She modeled in Duluth while her children were young and was active in causes she was passionate about as a member of League of Women Voters and then director of New Life Family Services and many church groups. She was an extremely loving person with the most positive attitude.  Her girls wanted to be "Verylie girls" which meant looking at the world with an attitude of giving everyone the benefit of the doubt. We know she is with our Lord and Savior and will always be in our hearts. Memorials preferred to Anoka Covenant Church in lieu of flowers.  Private services at Lakewood Cemetery. Celebration of Life service held at later date. A special thank you to the staff on 2East at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids.
