On Thursday, December 8, 2022, Vernon Barkuloo ("Vern"), a loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away at the age of 85.

Vernon was born on March 12, 1937 in Santa Monica, CA.  He was a talented carpenter and was also an entrepreneur – running several restaurants over the years. In 1956 he married Sally Kukar and they raised six children together.  After retirement Vern liked to "putz around" in his workshop building furniture and other household décor and was admired by all his friends at "The Barn" where they were sold.

Vernon was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd, and his mother, Delia.

He is survived by his wife Sally, his six children, Mike (Jeanne), Susan (Al), Becky (Doug), Sandy (Bob), John, and Patrick (April); and five grandchildren, Anthony, Brent, Eric, Gina and Ashley.

A time for Visitation will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, Jan. 6th at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home located at 2005 Branch Ave., Anoka, MN.
