Vern B. Shivnarine, age 35, of Brooklyn Park, MN, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 9th, 2024. He was born July 7th, 1988 in Port Mourant, Guyana to Eugine and Mohanie Shivnarine. He is one of many grandchildren to Kesari (Kathleen) Debideen. Dearly loved husband to Lisa and devoted father to Vera and Vince. Warm-hearted sibling to Lalita (Mahesh), Navin (Narifa), and Rishie (Amanda). Fun-loving uncle to nieces Natalie, Nisa, Anisa, and Brianna and nephews Ethan, Riam and Amir.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents Shivnarine, Sarupie, and Sukdeo Debideen. Vern will be remembered and celebrated by a grand family and many cherished friends.

Vern enjoyed being amongst the company of his family & friends, whether it be at a casual meet up, riding his motorcycle, celebrating at an event, or expressing his creative skills through photography. He had the ability to light up a room or make anyone feel welcomed with his charisma. He will be remembered for his impeccable fashion, impressive dance skills, and infectious laughter.

We will celebrate the life of Vern at the Thurston-Deshaw Funeral Home located at 13817 Jay St. NW, Andover, MN 55304 for visitation on Thursday, May 16th, 2024 from 5-8pm and funeral service on Friday, May 17th, 2024 from 11am-1pm.
