Verlyn Sherwood Hovdestad age 74 of Isanti passed away at his home on October 29, 2024. He was born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota on December 13, 1949 to parents Verlyn & Velma (Mauseth) Hovdestad. Verlyn was preceded in death by his parents and brother Randy. He is survived by his wife Bernice, daughters Karrie (Wade), Lisa (Bob), Kelly (Brian), LeAnn (Mike) and Andrea (Ryan),  grandchildren Donny, Kristi, Brandon, Jordan, Miranda, McKenzie, Dalton, Dallas, Kyle, Sydney, Kayla, Lilly and Wyatt, 17 great-grandchildren, siblings Richard, Cindy (George), Greg and Colleen, nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 8, 2024 at 12 noon at Thurston-DeShaw Funeral Home, 13817 Jay Street, NW, Andover with visitation beginning at 10 am. Interment West Oak Grove Cemetery, 20673 Rum River Blvd, NW, (Anoka County Road #7) Oak Grove. A luncheon will follow the burial at Grace Lutheran Church, 13655 Round Lake Boulevard, NW, Andover. Memorial preferred to the Disabled American Veterans.
