Thomas E. "Tom" Swanson, age 94 of Anoka, passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2020 at Mercy Hospital, Coon Rapids.

Tom was born on June 26, 1926 in Duluth, Minnesota to Charles and Bessie (Malmen) Swanson.  He grew up Duluth and married Vivian Aho on November 24, 1928.  Tom began his career as a typographer in the printing business and was employed with Mackay Envelope Company for over 20 years.  He was an avid golfer and fisherman; he especially enjoyed fishing trips to Seattle and Canada.  As an automobile enthusiast, Tom owned 115 cars over his lifetime.  He cherished time spent with family at the cabin he built in Hackensack, Minnesota.

In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian; 3 sisters and 2 brothers.  He is survived by his son, Dale (Sherri) Swanson; brother, Richard (Sheila) Swanson; brother-in-law, Don (Sandy) Aho; many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, great-great-nieces and nephews; relatives and friends.

A Private Family Service will be held at a later date.
