Obituary

Thomas A. Bloom, age 87 of Ham Lake, passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at his home.

Tom was born January 16, 1930 to Victor and Margaret (nee Potvin) Bloom.  He was a self-employed machinist who loved working with his hands.  In fact, he built much of the home that he and Mary resided in.  Tom enjoyed fishing, road trips, airplanes, and sailing in Florida, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents; brother, James; and sister, Margaret Ann.  He is survived by his wife, Mary; children, Joseph, Karen, and Steve (Kelly); granddaughter, Anna; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 19921 Nightingale Street NW, Oak Grove.  The family will greet friends and relatives one hour prior to Mass at church (10-11:00 a.m.)  Private Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
