Thomas Edwin Aspinwall, fondly known as Tom or Shug, was born on October 31st, 1950 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Gustave and Elizabeth "Betty" Aspinwall and raised by Louis and Betty Aspinwall, passed away on March 24th, 2025 at the age of 74. He was a proud Veteran of the United States Army, a devoted union member of the IBEW, and retired from NSP (Xcel Energy) after 38 years of loyal service as a Lineman Foreman. He enjoyed spending his free time connecting with family and friends, riding motorcycle, and cooking meals on the grill for anyone who would show up.

Tom was preceded in death by his Father Gustave Aspinwall, Stepfather Louis Aspinwall, Mother Elizabeth "Betty" Aspinwall, and Brother David Aspinwall.

Tom's spirit is carried on by his Wife Stephanie Aspinwall, Son David Paul Aspinwall (Michelle), Daughters Jessica Wagner (Nate), and Holly Mendes Santana (Gustavo), Stepson Danny Koerner (Angie).  Sister Julie Nason (Al).  Grandchildren Drew Aspinwall (Sarah), Paige Aspinwall, Sydney Skoglund, Jayden Skoglund, Neil Engberg, Ezra Engberg, Kodi Raiche, and Isaac Mendes Santana.  Great Grandchild Daisy Engberg. Nephews Jeremy Thompson (Rosemary), Jesse Thompson, and Louis "Louie" Aspinwall, as well as many cherished family members.

Services for Tom will be on Monday, April 7, 2025 with a visitation from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM with the Funeral Service at 2:00 PM at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, 2005 Branch Ave. Anoka, MN 55303. A Native Service will be held on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Gichitwaa Kateri Catholic Church, 3045 Park Ave. Minneapolis, MN, light lunch to be served-please bring a dish to share followed by the Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery from 2:00 PM - 2:15 PM.
