Theresa A. Woodford, age 93 of Coon Rapids, passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids.
Theresa was born on March 30, 1925 in Trail, Minnesota, to Alvin and Tina (Lucken) Wiberg, Sr. She graduated from Fosston High School in 1942 and went on to graduate from Northern Business College in Bemidji. Following graduation, Theresa moved to Walker, MN where she worked at the Cass County Courthouse. She met a wonderful man named Jack Woodford and they were married on January 5, 1946. Jack and Theresa moved to the Twin Cities in 1955, where Theresa focused on raising her children as a homemaker. She was a member of Kraus Hartig VFW for many years, loved playing Bingo (was a very lucky gambler), playing games, going to garage sales, making and selling quilts, color crayon aprons, and crafts.
Theresa's dedication to watching "Jeopardy" was so great that she did not even answer the phone when the show was on! She also had a passion for collecting Salt & Pepper shakers; her collection totaling almost 1400 pair. In later years, Theresa loved chocolate, frozen peach yogurt, watching the Food Network and TV in general.
In addition to her parents, Theresa was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Woodford; brothers, Dennis Wiberg, Charlie Wiberg, and Alvin Wiberg, Jr.; sisters, Verna Ostrander, Genevieve Wiberg, and Gloria Roundy. She is survived by her daughters, Debby Plumley and Jill (Jim) Seiberlich; grandchildren, Tami (Jerry) Provost, Jaki (Kevin) Conradt, Sara (Alexei) van Ingen, Annie Nielsen, Jesse Plumley, Tara Nienaber, Jason (Andrea) Seiberlich; 5 great- grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Glen (Helen) Wiberg and Darwin Wiberg; sisters, Marcy Hallan and Beverlee Ostenaa; also many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 13 , 2019 at Thurston-DeShaw Funeral Home, 13817 Jay Street NW, Andover. Visitation one hour prior to the service (10:00 - 11:00 a.m.) Interment Evergreen Cemetery, Walker, MN.
