Obituary

In Loving Memory of Terry John Holland

June 2, 1951 ~ August 15, 2026

Terry J. Holland, 75, passed away on August 15, 2026, after a long struggle with Alzheimer's disease. He was surrounded by his loving family, who will forever miss his gentle demeanor, kind heart, and wonderful sense of humor.

Terry was born on June 2, 1951, at St. Barnabas Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Henrietta and John Marvin Holland. He grew up in the northern suburbs of Minneapolis and graduated from Spring Lake Park High School in 1969. Following graduation, Terry attended Anoka Technical College, where he became a certified welder.

Terry worked as a welder at Crown Iron Works and LeJeune Steel. He devoted much of his career to RockTenn in Saint Paul, Minnesota, where he worked for many years as a millwright. He retired on January 1, 2019, leaving behind a reputation for hard work, dedication, and craftsmanship.

Above all else, Terry was a devoted husband, father, and family man. He shared 52 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Paula. Together they raised two children and built a loving home in East Bethel, Minnesota, where they created countless cherished memories. Terry found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved tending to his garden, spending time on the golf course and bowling lanes, and riding his motorcycle.

Terry's memory will live on in the hearts of his wife, Paula; his daughter, Jamie; son-in-law, Nick; and grandson, Cruz along with all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him. His family takes comfort in the many memories they shared and the lasting impact he made through his love, gentle spirit and his incredible sense humor.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Jerry Holland.

He is survived by his loyal wife, Paula; his daughter Jamie (Nick) Popa; and his cherished grandson, Cruz. He also leaves behind his sisters, Patricia (Mike) DeGrote and Sandra (Nate) Stengel, along with his nieces, nephews and many friends.
