Susan Antoinette (Toni) Vikse (Easbey) Passed on March 17 2022 at age 103 Preceded in death by parents, 6 brothers, 5 sisters, husband Sigurd and son Gordon, nieces and nephews and most all of her friends. She is survived by children Susan Vikse, Kristen Trelles (Tony) Sara Vikse- Brenton(Gary) and Jon Vikse and special friend Sue Pilarski. By 6 grandchildren Jeannie, David, Rachael, Heather, Kelsey and Jessica and great grandchildren William, Ani, Antoinio, Nicholas, Kaedon, Isabelle and Cali, Karah and Caitlyn, sister-in law, Bea Campbell, nieces and nephews and friends. She was a remarkable active person and friends and family miss her very much. She was an avid biker and continued into her 80's. She learned to ski in her 60's. She went on many bike trips over her later years with her friend Joy – trails in Minnesota and Wisconsin, staying in B&Bs along the trails. She traveled to the Holy land with her friend Clarita and then to Egypt where they also saw the pyramids and rode a camel. She traveled to Norway (birthplace of her husband) with her husband and to New York where her husband sang in a senior choir at Carnegie Hall. She also traveled to Hawaii and other places in the US. Every year she and Sig would drive to visit daughter Sara in Canada. She was an avid card player and played Bridge with her friends. She touched many lives. She was co-founder of the Riverview Methodist Church. She and Sigurd volunteered for their church, CEAP, and drove for Meals on Wheels for many years. She was also an election judge and never missed
an election. The family home was always open to anyone who needed to stay – friends of her kids when they were in college, relatives who visited from out of town and out of the country. She and her husband moved to Independent Living at St. Therese of Oxbow Lake in 2007 where she
remained for 10 years, then moving to Assisted living. Sigurd passed in 2009 but Toni remained active. She hired a personal trainer and worked out with weights, stationary bike until she was 101 at which time, she contacted Covid and could no longer walk and moved to Long Term Care until her death. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Therese, the wonderful caring nurses and aids, the social workers, her hair stylist, the people who prepared her meals and cleaned her room, Mim Campbell from Brooklyn Park Methodist Church and the kind staff from North Memorial Hospice.
We miss you mom. Private burial with celebration of Life this Summer
