Schmitt, Steven Anthony "Steve" age 74 of Coon Rapids, went to his Heavenly home on June 21, 2024 after a courageous and hard fought battle with Glioblastoma. Preceded in death by father Anton Schmitt, mother Beverly Schmitt, sisters Susan Larson and Mary Jo Gilbertson and brother David Schmitt. Survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Teena, daughters Elizabeth Schmitt and Courtney (T.J.) Sturges, grandchildren Elizabeth, Jack and Anthony Sturges, sister Diane (Charles) Laue, other loving relatives. Funeral services Friday, June 27, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to services at Radisson Road Baptist Church, 13627 Radisson Road NE, Ham Lake. A luncheon will follow the services. Private interment Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
