Steven James Gordon, known as Steve, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2026, with his two daughters by his side after long battles with infections and other health complications. He was 70 years old. Born on April 4, 1956 in Bemidji, Minnesota, Steve grew up in Anoka but had been living in St. Francis, Minnesota since 1996. Steve had a passion for football, hockey and music. He loved the Minnesota Vikings and The Beatles. His favorite pastime was driving around listening to music or a Vikings game. Steve's greatest joy, however, was his family—especially his grandchildren. He worked most of his life as a machinist and part-time at Pizza Hut to support his family. However, in the last 15 years, Steve dedicated himself to helping care for his two disabled grandkids. He is preceded in death by his wife, Denise; parents James and Delores (née Barstad) Gordon; and son-in-law Gregory Gehring. He is survived by his daughters Brittany (Jay) Norton and Mandi Gordon. Stepchildren Tiffany (Tony) Morgan-Gehring, Scott (Val, Madeline) Cichoski; grandchildren Matthew (Brie, Cameron, Collin) Cichoski, Anna (Sebastian, Bay) Cichoski, Logan and Tatum Gehring, Lucille, Lincoln, and Elizabeth Norton; sisters Terri (Steve) Windsperger, Sheri Wilkins, Dawn (Tim) Brotten; and many nieces, nephews, and other surviving relatives. There will be a memorial service in honor of Steve on Friday, October 2nd, at 1:30 pm at Thurston DeShaw Funeral Home, 13817 Jay Street, NW, Andover. Visitation one hour prior to the services.
