Elfelt, Stacey M. (Trager) 92, of Anoka, MN, died peacefully in her sleep on Friday, July 29, 2016 at the J. A. Wedum Residential Hospice in Brooklyn Park, MN. Born and raised in Benson, MN, she earned her teaching credentials at the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul and then taught at the primary and secondary levels until she married John O'Brien Elfelt in 1948. Thereafter, Stacey's life was devoted to raising her family in Anoka. Active in church, community, and youth organizations, she was truly the center of family life for her husband and her boys. Stacey is survived by her sons, Jim (Betty) of Amarillo, TX; Joseph (Joan) of Redmond, WA; Tony (Denise) of Nowthen; Larry (Corinne) of Andover; Paul (Julie) of Brookfield, WI; David of Anoka; and Stephen (Corien) of Altoona, PA; 21 grandchildren; seven great-grand-children; and many nieces and nephews. Stacey was preceded in death by her husband, John O'Brien Elfelt; their infant son, Thomas G. Elfelt; her parents, Max W. Trager and Margaret Mary (Conaty) Trager of Swift County; and her sister, Mary M. Jennings of Granite Falls. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 4, 2016, 5-8 p.m. at Thurston-Lindberg-DeShaw Funeral Home, 2005 Branch Ave., Anoka, MN. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, August 5, 2016, 11 a.m. at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, 525 Jackson St. in Anoka, with reviewal one hour prior at the church.
