May 24, 1939 to February 20th, 2025. With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Sharon Lu (Martin) Weidner, a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. A lifelong resident of Anoka, MN, Sharon passed away peacefully at the age of 85.

Sharon was a devoted mother to Debra (Dennis) Spiess, Jill (Michael) Gorham, and Dale (Jacque) Weidner; grandmother to seven – Jayme (Chad) Olstad, Cole (Soren) Spiess, Mackenzie (Andrew) Ernest, Caitlyn (Josh) Gresko, Kara (Alex) Nemec, Martin Weidner, and Jack Weidner; and great-grandmother to four – Easton and Evan Olstad, Poppy Gresko, and baby girl Nemec due in April. She will be reunited in Heaven with her parents, loving relatives, and friends.

A lifelong Catholic, Sharon was baptized at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, where she was a faithful servant of God. She spent 35 years working at G-Will Liquors, where she enjoyed sharing her favorite wines with customers and ensuring her kids and grandkids weren't stocking up too frequently! In her free time, Sharon volunteered with Meals on Wheels. Her grandkids fondly remember joining her to deliver warm meals to those in need. She enjoyed cooking waffles for her grandkids before school drop-off and hosted twice-weekly dinners for the whole family, who will miss her good cooking and the many laughs shared around the dinner table.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at 11 AM with a visitation one our prior at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, 525 Jackson St. Anoka. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Anoka, MN. Memorials preferred to Park Nicollet Hospice or Meals on Wheels.
