Obituary

Swanson, Ronald F, age 87 , of Anoka passed away peacefully on April 29 th , 2019.  Born in rural Big Lake, MN , he was one of 15 children. Preceded in death by his wife, Norma Swanson of 50 years; parents, Freeman and Evelyn Swanson and 10 brothers and sisters.

Survived by brothers, Roger ( Buster) Swanson, Willard Swanson, Gary Swanson, and sister Kathleen ( Cookie) Swanson; children; Lisa ( Tom) Endersbe of Eagan, Bruce Swanson of Anoka, Brian Swanson of Anoka, Lori (Matt) Pope of Duluth; grandchildren, Tori ( Clint) Johnston, Erik and Sean Endersbe, and Skyla and Broxton Pope. Ron served in the Air Force in the Korean War and was a teacher for 33 years in the Anoka Hennepin School District.  He loved to deer hunt, play golf, fish, and tell stories. Ron and Norma enjoyed " Lake Life" in Annandale and Arizona in the retirement years.

Memorial Service Friday, May 17 th at 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, 1601 4 th Ave S, Anoka.  Visitation 1 hr prior at church. Private internment at Forest Hills Cemetery at a later date.
