August 16, 1943 – April 21, 2022
Myers, Roger Curtis age 78 of Coon Rapids went to be with the Lord Jesus on April 21, 2022. Born on August 16, 1943 to Michael C. and Beulah I. Myers in Duluth, Minnesota at St. Mary's Hospital. Roger graduated from Duluth East High School in 1961 and then entered the United States Marine Corps in July 1961 serving in a variety of duty stations. Upon discharge, he eventually entered Control Data Institute in Minneapolis completing training in programming and information systems in 1971. During that time he met his wife Marceille Lynn Reed and they married on July 3,1971 and were married for fifty wonderful years. They have two children Scott Douglas Myers of Fridley, Minnesota and Kimberly Joy Myers of Coon Rapids, Minnesota. Roger worked at Gambles Corporation, Dart and Kraft and then enjoyed The Toro Company for twenty six years specializing in information systems. After retirement in 2007 he worked in a variety of church positions and web design as the webmaster for Victory Baptist Church of Maple Grove, Minnesota. Traveling periodically and enjoying working at camp ministries with his family was a favorite pastime. Dearly loved by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his parents Michael C. Myers and Beulah I.(Covell) Myers; siblings Paul L. Myers, Rebecca J. Myers, LoWanna R. (Myers) Earls; and niece Samantha Burns. Roger is survived by his wife Marceille L. (Reed) Myers; son Scott. D. Myers (Gillian); daughter Kimberly J. Myers; sister Sherrill (Ray) Fulayter; sister-in-laws Lois (Nelson) Myers, Bunnie (Propp) Reed; brother-in-law John Earls as well as thirteen nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 29, 2022 at 11 am at Victory Baptist Church, 13560 63rd Ave N., Maple Grove with visitation beginning at 10 am and a luncheon to follow. Interment Forest Hill Cemetery, Anoka. Psalm 23:6 "Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever."
