Rodney Andrew Lee, age 69, of Blaine, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Rod was born on June 25, 1956, in Minot, North Dakota, to Donald and Ardis (Skarstad) Lee. Rod enjoyed growing up in North Dakota, where he developed a deep love of baseball and a talent for finding fun — and occasionally causing plenty of mischief. He later made his home in Minneapolis, where he raised his family and built a successful career.
On February 18, 1977, Rod married the love of his life, Pamela Jayne (Mayer) Lee, and together they shared nearly 50 wonderful years of marriage filled with love, partnership, and devotion. Rod was a dedicated and respected commercial real estate broker who truly loved what he did.
As the co-owner of Premier Commercial Properties, he took great pride in his work and in the relationships he built over the years, with many clients becoming lifelong friends. Even in semi-retirement, Rodney remained passionate about his profession. He and Pam cherished their winters together in Fort Myers, Florida, where Rod especially enjoyed spending time on the golf course.
Above all, Rodney will be remembered for his deep love for his family. He was an amazing dad and a proud and devoted papa, always present, supportive, and full of playful remarks and teasing humor. He had a gift for making people feel welcome and valued, and he will be remembered as a wonderful friend to many.
Rodney is survived by his loving wife, Pam; his daughter, Kristin Lee Lewandowski and son-in- law Jeremy of Brooklyn Park, MN; and his son, Richard Lee and daughter-in-law Karla (Heim) of Andover, MN. He was a proud grandfather to Henry, Anna, and Grace Lewandowski, and Sophia, Eli, and Lucas Lee. He is also survived by his brother, Rick (Julie) Lee of Fargo, ND; sisters-in-law Paula Sheltrown of Monterey, CA, Katie Soderberg of Moorhead, MN, Patty (Ken) Jensen of Powers Lake, ND, and Sheila (Dave) Derr of Sturgis, SD; along with many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Ardis Lee; his parents-in-law, Jerome and Patsy (Henderson) Mayer; and brothers-in-law, Bruce Sheltrown and Terry Soderberg. Rodney’s legacy lives on in the family he loved so deeply and the many lives he touched through his kindness, generosity, and steady presence. He will be greatly missed and forever remembered.
