Roberta Jean (Bobbi) Peterson (nee. Schmidt), age 80, of Ramsey, MN, passed away on June 19, 2023.

Bobbi was born in Worthington in 1942 and graduated from Crookston Central High School in 1960, and UMD in 1965. She earned a second bachelors and then three masters degrees, including organ performance from the University of Nebraska. Bobbi was an elementary teacher, school librarian, piano teacher, a church organist at Champlin and Riverview Methodist, and was on staff at the House of Hope Presbyterian Church and Centennial Methodist in Roseville.

While at UMD, Bobbi met and married David Peterson. From their union of 57 years, they had and raised two sons, Scott and Lance (now deceased), and have one grandson, Justin. Bobbi is also survived by her sister Becky Lee.

Her many hobbies included gardening, making blankets, writing, baking and studying. Bobbi was an ordained minister and a member of the Twin Cities Guild of Organists.

A Memorial Service for Bobbi will be held on Thursday, July 13th at the United Methodist Church of Anoka, 850 South Street, Anoka at 11am with a visitation beginning one hour prior.
