Deiley, Robert S. age 57 of Dayton, MN, went peacefully to spend Christmas with Jesus on December 24, 2016 after a courageous 11 month battle with an aggressive form of prostate cancer. He was born May 27, 1959 to William and Kathleen Deiley. He attended Anoka High school where he met the love of his life Mona Kaye (Miller) Deiley. Bob enjoyed the simple things in life. He enjoyed time with family, embracing the outdoors and getting together with good friends. He exceeded the definition of a husband, dad and real friend. He was a man of his word always genuine in intent and never expected anything in return. Bob treated everyone like family whether it was over a beer, round of golf or outdoor excursion, any time spent with Bob made you feel like you were living life to the fullest. Bob is preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Rose Deiley and Richard and Esther McGovern. He is survived by his wife, Mona; children, Jenny (Josh) Vargas, Christopher (Leisha), Jackie (Paul) Fursman, Stephanie (Tom) Peppin; parents William and Kathleen; brothers, Jeffery and Michael (Bev); as well as many grandchildren, cousins, extended family and the best friends a man could ask for. A memorial service will be held Thursday at 4 PM with visitation 1 hour prior at St. John The Baptist Church, 18380 Columbus St., Dayton.
