Curda, Robert E. age 94, of Champlin, formerly of Highland Park, IL and Azle, TX, passed away Mon., Sept. 8, 2008. He was the beloved father of Elizabeth (Gerald) Schwartz, Jerome (Marilyn), Mary Kay (Marshall) Wallace and Christopher (Debbie); grandfather of 16; step-grandfather of 39; great-grandfather of 20; step-great-grandfather of 54; and step-great-great-grandfather of 11; brother of Donald; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by parents, Edmund and Anna; sister, Dorothy; and his dearly loved wives, Mary E. and Mary Tarpey; sons, Paul and Bro. Edmund, O.S.B. Born Nov. 17, 1913 in Chicago, IL and a graduate of Chicago's St. Ignatius High School, he earned degrees from St. Mary's University (San Antonio) and TCU (Fort Worth). He retired from General Dynamics. Mass of Christian Burial Sat. 10:30 AM with reviewal one hour prior at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, 5th Ave. & Jackson St., Anoka. Visitation Fri. 5-8 PM with a 7 PM prayer service at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, W. Main St. & Branch Ave., Anoka. Private interment.
