Rick was preceded in death by his mother, Myrtle, brother, James, sister, Linda Fritz and brother-in-law, John Pederson. He is survived by his children, Sean & Jessica Schmelzer, grandchildren, Cash & Lola Peters, father, Richard Schmelzer, Sr. siblings, Sharon Pederson, Carole Schmelzer, Janice (Don) Bellows, William Schmelzer, Christine (Charles) Awker, brother-in-law, Gary Fritz, nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins other relatives and friends. Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, February 9, 2015 at 11 a.m. at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, 525 Jackson Street, Anoka. Interment Calvary Cemetery, Anoka. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the Mass at the Church. Memorials are preferred.
