IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Richard Harold
"Rick" Lund
February 7, 1945 – June 3, 2019
Richard H. "Rick" Lund, age 74 of Anoka, passed away on Monday, June 3, 2019 at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids.
Beloved husband and father has left us far too soon. We shall all be a bit smaller without his presence. Born in Brainerd, Minnesota, then moving to Tyler, Minnesota at the age of two, Richard graduated from Tyler High School and then from South Dakota State University, enlisting in ROTC and cumulating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics. Richard heeded the call of his Nation during the war in Vietnam and took the officers oath with the United States Air Force. During his military career, he served multiple assignments: Randolph AFB Texas (OTS), Mountain Home AFB Idaho, Hill AFB Utah, Ramstein AFB Germany, Hellenikon AFS Athens Greece, Lajes Field (Remote) Azore Islands and McChord AFB Tacoma, Washington. During his assignment to Hill Air Force Base in Utah, he met and married his beautiful and beloved wife, Georgia Miller, daughter of Colonel Edward and Margaret Miller (deceased). From this blessed union, Richard and Georgia had two beautiful daughters, Jennifer Elizabeth and Kristine Ruth.
Completing his military career, Richard's fierce determination led him home to create and accomplish a group of successful businesses that ultimately provided employment and recreation for many people. His success was the ultimate articulation of the American dream that is woven into the fabric of this great nation. Richard shall now rest in peace in the broad prairies of his home here in Minnesota.
In addition to his parents, Sophus and Ruth (Gilbertson) Lund, Rick was preceded in death by his brother, Charles. He is survived by his wife, Georgia; children, Jennifer (John) Skare and Kristine (Joe) Buhn; grandchildren, Tyler, Dustin, Kalie, Sierra, Dylan, and Sophie; also many relatives and friends.

The Veterans Creed
I have been away from my family so that you can be safe.
I have sacrificed so that yo may live free.
I've done these things because I have sworn an oath to my country.
And I live by this oath until I die because I was ever always a United States Veteran.
