Stacherski, Raymond age 75 of Oak Grove. Preceded in death by grandson Daniel and parents Francis & Frances. Survived by wife Pamela "Pam", son Ray (Kerry), grandchildren Brianna & Steven; sister Michaelene Gon; nieces and nephews. Visitation Friday, June 9, 2023, 5-7 pm at Thurston- Lindberg Funeral Home, 2005 Branch Avenue, Anoka. No flowers please, memorials are preferred. Ray was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He graduated from South Hills Catholic High School in 1965. After High School, Ray worked for Ford as a mechanic for a few years before enlisting in the Air Force. While in the military, he was stationed at Andrews Air Force Base and spent some time in Germany. At the time of his honorable discharge, he was Staff Sergeant. After leaving the service, Ray worked for a distributor that sold and serviced Onan Generators. In June 1972, Ray went to Minnesota for training, where he met his future wife, Pamela Schmidt. They became engaged five days after meeting and married on July 15, 1972. In December of 1972, Ray and his new wife moved back to Minnesota, where he accepted a position at Onan in Fridley, where he worked for 36 years until retiring in 2008. Ray and Pam's only child (Ray) was born in March of 1974. While not working, Ray enjoyed snowmobiling, computers, bowling, ATVing, golfing, and spending time with his family and friends. Ray was an outgoing person who loved his wife and family.
