Raymond Roger Johnson, 84 of Ramsey, MN, formerly of Gilbert MN, passed away on Sunday, May 24 ^th peacefully at his home with his family around him.

Born:  October 14, 1935 to Albert & Bertha Johnson.  He attended Astoria Public School in SD where he graduated & 2 years at Augustana College in Sioux Falls, South Dakota & some time at South Dakota State.

He married Wanda Erickson on April 11 ^th , 1959 at Bethany Church in Astoria, South Dakota.  He was an army vet. He worked many years for Montgomery Wards & was transferred to many different cities & states with them, then worked for Pamida, after finally moving to Gilbert MN where they opened a new & used furniture store.  He also worked many years for ABC Seamless selling siding & windows, then retired in 2000.  The Johnsons family stayed in Gilbert from 1975-2016, when they finally moved to Ramsey, MN to be closer to their children.

He enjoyed traveling, planting flowers, camping, putting up Christmas lights ever year, playing cards & dice and spending time with family.  For many years they traveled to Mazatlan, Mexico every year, several trips to Las Vegas & twice to Norway, to name a few destinations.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Wanda of Ramsey, MN, Daughter Jackie Meide of Ramsey MN, Daughter Kim (husband Kelvin) Taylor of Ramsey MN, Son Greg Johnson of New Hope, MN and Daughter Gwen Vaughn of Ramsey, MN.  Seven grandchildren, Shawna (Nick) Jordan, Zachary (Kala) Debeltz, Dana (Jose) Medina, Tyler Debeltz, Peyton, Parker and Piper Vaughn.  He is also survived by 1 brother, Phil Johnson from Watertown SD, nieces, nephews, in-laws & friends.

He is proceeded in death by his father, mother, brothers Lyle, Jonas, Arlee, Gail & Norris & sisters Inez and Evangeline.  He was a loving & devoted husband, father & grandfather who will be greatly missed.
