Ramona Hanson, age 92, of Andover, MN passed away peacefully on October 2, 2021.  Ramona was born on May 3, 1929, in Kenmare, North Dakota to Louis and Lettie Emmel.  She was the fourth of eight children.  Ramona grew up in Clearbrook, MN washing milk bottles on the family dairy farm, candling eggs at the town creamery, and working as a teller at the bank.

Ramona accepted Jesus as her Savior as a young child.  She enjoyed being involved in church, sometimes playing the piano or xylophone. She met and married Ken Hanson at First Baptist Church Clearbrook in 1949.

They were blessed with five children.  Ramona was a patient and loving mother and grandmother.  She loved her family.  She was a hard worker and held a variety of jobs including a keypunch operator, secretary, and realtor.  She often said her favorite job was working with Hanson Builders as the bookkeeper and office manager.

Ramona was an excellent cook and was known for her homemade donuts, pickles, Sunday morning cinnamon rolls, and canned peaches.   She and Ken enjoyed many trips to their cottage in Canada and fishing on Lake of the Woods.  In their later years they loved spending time at their home in Texas during the winter.

Ramona's greatest joy was knowing her children and grandchildren loved the Lord.  She is survived by her children Trudy and John Delich, Dean and Catherine Hanson, Twyla and Dan Beyers, Terri and Rob Johnson, and Tammy and Jerry Melchisedek, Sr; nineteen grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; and sister Vone Johnson.   She is preceded in death by husband Ken Hanson and granddaughter Rachel Delich.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 30 at Thurston-DeShaw Funeral Home, 13817 Jay Street Northwest, Andover, Minnesota 55304. Visitation starts at 10:00 with a memorial service at 11:00.  Lunch will be served after the service.  Burial will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery in Clearbrook, MN.
