Obituary

Patrick B. Parker, born 7/23/65 (58), an obituary we never thought of writing. How do you write about someone that gave more than he will ever know? Patrick left us on Wed 9/27, at 2:10 pm for reasons we don't yet understand. The effort to quantify all what Patrick was to us feels impossible. His contribution to our lives varies by person. From the days of being a young man, living with friends and family, staying engaged in his schoolwork and sports, then successfully graduating from high school as an honored 1983 Anoka Tornado. Determined to go to college, he graduated from the U of M where he made lifetime best friends. Being a successful, independent man was his goal.

Patrick's work was where he found his security and satisfaction.  Software coding, DB designs, business development, operational management, Parker could do it all. He held important roles at U of M, FORE Systems, CBS MarketWatch, DSTI.  Over the past 10 years, DSTI became the foundation of Patrick's happiness and self-satisfaction. He had such passion for his role and the people he worked with.  This was his extended family.

The memories of growing up with Patrick are endless; his tall lanky structure, that flowing hair, infectious smile, his love for music, concerts, and his strange addictive games; how much Dungeons and Dragons can one play? Growing up with Parker, hanging in the country, having nothing but fun and freedom, motorcycles, 3-wheelers, snowmobiles, field parties, keg rides, and all things red solo cup…who has 3 dollars? His Kramer-like style would one up the real Kramer himself; did Pat know how darn hilarious he was? The wit was bar none the best.  Anyone that met Pat, understands the rib-ache laughing from his animated actions. Whether it was his words or body actions that made us laugh, it really was a gift he gave to each of us. For the endless laughter, Patrick, we thank you!

Patrick B Parker leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, coworkers, and friends that are greatly missing him. We find comfort knowing Patrick is reunited with his beloved dogs Penny and Mia and visiting with his mom, Elizabeth Parker, her husband John Brunier and his favorites Grandma and Grandpa Meister.
