Patricia "Patti" Anne Jochim (Newell), age 74, formerly of Saint Francis, passed away Thursday, January 20, 2022. She was a High School graduate of Saint Ben's all girl boarding school and received her master's degree from College of Saint Thomas in 1977. She retired after 33 years of teaching from Saint Francis school district where she influenced and changed so many students' lives. Patti devoted her entire self as a parishioner and employee of Saint Patrick's Church. There she gave her time, talent, and treasure by keeping the church clean and organized, often helping with set up and cleaning for weddings and funerals. She was a member of the Seven Sisters for many years. She gave her talent in teaching religious education, Vacation Bible School, volunteering for the church festivals, garage sales, and everything else in-between. Patti generously donated not only to the church but to numerous organizations, especially to Feed My Starving Children, Family Missions Company, Pregnancy Resource Center, and many more organizations. Patti enjoyed camping and driving to as many national parks as she could. She also enjoyed reading a variety of books, building puzzles, and making bead projects.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Mary Newell.

Patti is survived by her daughter JaNeen (Jeremy) Pouliot; two granddaughters, Autumn and Grace Pouliot; brothers, Don and Tim Newell; sister, Kathleen Nugent along with numerous nephews and nieces and great nephews and nieces.

The family would like to express their thanks for the generous support from the parishioners of Saint Patrick's Church and friends. If desired, friends may make memorial contributions to Saint Patrick's Church or Feed My Starving Children.

An Evening Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 6 from 4-7pm at Thurston-DeShaw Funeral home in Andover.

A Funeral Mass will be held for Patti at Saint Patrick's Catholic Church in Oak Grove on Monday, February 7, at 11:00am with a Visitation one hour prior.
