Neil B. Ashland, age 73 of Andover, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, on Sunday, November 4, 2018 at home.

Neil served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam era.  He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping.  He loved spending time with family and friends, and was passionate about helping anyone in need.

In addition to his parents, Bruce and Doris (Erickson) Ashland, Neil was preceded in death by his daughter, Jessica Lynn Ashland; brothers, Mark and LaRoy Ashland; sisters, Lana Jean Ashland and Dixie Lee Ashland.  He is survived by his children, Dawn (Michael) DeRosa, Gina (Shawn) Snodie, and Mariah Gill; grandchildren, Breanna and Hunter Thompson, Jordan (Mary), Allison (Mack Dittberner), Nina, and Caleb Snodie, Levi and Tucker Gill; great-grandchildren, Emmett Snodie, Ava and Amelia Dittberner; brother, Owen (Linda) Ashland; also survived by nieces, relatives, and friends.

Private services will be held at a later date.
