Michael Lance Mettler, age 59, of Anoka, was born on May 19,1965 passed away October 24, 2024.

Michael owned and operated Mettler Construction. He was an electrician, like many members of his family, but his skills didn't end there. Mike was a man of many talents and always took great pride in his work. He was a car and truck enthusiast.

Michael had the biggest heart. For those he loved his heart knew no boundaries. His greatest joys in life were his family and pets.  He was a man who would lend a helping hand to anyone, give sound advice to family and friends, help any animal in distress and always made you feel loved. Michael proudly served his country at a Sargent in the US Army during Desert Storm.

Preceded in death by his Mother, Janet Joy Foster and one brother, Vincent Wilson.

Michael is survived by his father, Michael L. (Jacque Montpetit) Mettler; wife, Barbara (Pepin); daughters, Sharon (Kelly) McMurphy and Alexandra (Adam) Lenz; sons, Howard (Joanna) Brown, Alexander Brown, Kenneth Brown, Michael (Michelle Moyer) Mettler JR, James (Allyson) Mettler, Cody Richter, Shane Mettler and Liam Mettler; grandchildren, Alenza Randall, Elijah Randall, Janaya Hobbs, Mathias Hobbs, Miguel Brown, Anthony Brown, Adrian Brown, Alexia Brown, Sonya Moyer and Sole Mettler; great granddaughter, Alena Randall; sisters, Cherrie (Dana Wrobleski) Wilson, Rose (Scott) Murphy, Melissa (Jon Urman) Mettler, Shelly (Jeff) Steere and Jen (Mike) Grant; brothers, Mark (Katrina) Newman and Steve (Lisa) Mettler; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services for Michael will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 starting with a Visitation from 10 AM – 11 AM followed by the Funeral at Thurston-DeShaw Funeral Home, 13817 Jay St. NW. Andover, MN. Michael will be laid to rest at Fort Snelling National Cemetery during a Private Burial.

In lieu of flowers, Memorials preferred to K9s for Warriors.
