Gautschi, Michael "Mike" J., age 71, passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2024 at Stoney River Assisted Living in Ramsey, MN. Michael was born October 12, 1953 in St Paul and graduated in 1971 from Cretin High School in St Paul. Preceded in death by his parents, William J and Helen Blint Gautschi; sister, Catherine and brother, John.

Survived by his wife of 41 years, Carolyn and children Cara Katzung (Ted) and Phillip (Shannan) and granddaughters, Stella and Luna. He is also survived by his siblings: Mark, Stephen (Kim) and Thomas and sister in law, Rhonda and many other nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Michael's favorite pastime included spending time with his family "up north" at the cabin. Days were spent boating, water skiing and taking all of the kids tubing. Nights were spent playing cards. He also enjoyed making things and was skilled in machinery. He could make anyone laugh with his sarcastic wit and humor. He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.

A funeral service in Michael's honor will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at Faith Lutheran Church, 11115 Hanson Blvd NW, Coon Rapids, MN 55433. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, with the service to follow at 11:00 AM. Lunch will be served immediately following the service where family and friends can gather to share stories and memories. Your favorite flannel is acceptable attire for Michael's celebration of life.
