Mary Weid of Andover, MN, entered into her heavenly home on September 15, 2026. She was born in 1945 in St. Paul, MN, to the late Vincent and Ardis Herman.

To know Mary was to know that family was her greatest joy. Being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother was what made her happiest, and many friends quickly became like family to her. She loved deeply, beautifully embodying the words of Romans 12:15: “Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.”

Mary was a child of God and a member of Zion Lutheran Church. As an elementary school teacher, she used the gifts God gave her to bless countless lives.

Mary is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, Donald; her son, Timothy (Tara); her daughter, Sandra (Bryan); her precious grandchildren, Daniel, Jacob, Collin, Nathan, and Carrie; her brother, Brian; and her sister Katherine (Ruthann).

Visitation will be held at on Friday, September 18, 2026 from 10 - 11 AM with a celebration of life service to be held at 11 AM at Thurston-DeShaw Funeral Home, 13817 Jay Street NW, Andover, MN 55304. A reception will follow the service at the funeral home.
