HESLI, Mary Jane (July 2, 1932 – Feb. 7, 2022), age 89, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and the caring hospice staff from Mary T.

She is survived by her son, Rick (Lori) Hesli; daughter, Donna (Jeff) McLain; son, Roland (Theresa Watzl) Hesli; grandchildren, Tamara Hesli (Brandon Sullivan), Jenna McLain and Joshua McLain (Erika Rau); brother Donald (Janice) Blaska; and beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Dale; mother and father, Regina and Peter Blaska; and sister, Beverly Arvidson.

Mary was a lifelong resident of Anoka and graduated from Anoka High School in 1951.  She was employed doing payroll for 27 years at Federal Cartridge in Anoka.  She retired at the age of 55, enjoyed traveling, and had very fond memories of being a snowbird for many years in Hawaii and Texas.  She also liked making crafts, canning pickles, hunting, fishing and keeping many records.  She loved her family, and as any mother, never stopped worrying about them.  Despite numerous years of dealing with Parkinson's disease, she remained kind, sweet, and caring and will remain forever in our hearts.

A joint "aloha" for Mary and Dale will be held on Feb. 21, 2022 from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at Thurston-Lindberg Anoka Funeral Home, 2005 Branch Ave., Anoka (763-421-0220), with a few words of remembrance at 7:00 pm.  Memorials are preferred to Mary T Hospice who showed Mary so much kindness and love over the years.
