Mary Leslie Chamberlain, age 70, passed away peacefully Monday, December 6, 2021 at the Walker Methodist Assisted Living where she had resided since August of 2020.

Mary was born June 25, 1951 in Anoka, MN to William and Pauline (Batalden) Chamberlain. She graduated from Anoka High School and went on to attend Macalester College where she graduated with a degree in History. Mary lived and worked in Germany and later in Ohio for HUD. Mary retired to Minnesota to be near her brother. Mary enjoyed traveling and was able to visit many European countries as well as Australia. She accumulated many treasured souvenirs from her adventures. Needlework was a passion for Mary and she stitched many beautiful wall hangings among other needlework projects. She always incorporated her artwork in her Christmas cards. Mary was a member of the St. Paul Needleworks Organization.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, William and Pauline Chamberlain and her brother, William Sands (Sandy) Chamberlain.

She is survived by her Batalden and Chamberlain cousins and their families.

The funeral for Mary Chamberlain will be Tuesday, December 14th at 11:00 at the Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, 2005 Branch Ave. Anoka, MN. with Pastor Connie Tiede officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Internment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Anoka. Memorials are preferred to Zion Lutheran Church, 1601 4th Ave. South, Anoka MN or to the donors choice.
