Mary Jane Ackerson, age 64, beloved mother and grandmother passed away _June 18, 2010__ surrounded by her loving family after a short but courageous battle with cancer. She will be dearly missed by her two beloved children: Lynn (David) Robson, and Krista Caldwell as well as her grandchildren: Jedah, Danielle and Camryn along with bonus grandchildren Kyle, Jenna, Paige, Elgin Jr, Bailie, Aaliyah, and Myesha. Mary was born in Grand Forks, ND, where her parents, Don and Bea Stewart began the family legacy. She attended the University of Minnesota where she met and married Richard Ackerson. Mary worked in the telecommunications industry her entire professional career. She built a strong reputation with clients and colleagues.



Mary was a devoted grandmother, mother, sister and daughter. She led an active life, rich with love of family and friends, and she was so very proud of her children and grandchildren. Mary will be remembered for her commitment to family and her fiesty and coloful personality. She was a delight to so many. A special thanks to those who have shown such love and compassion in her last days.



In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Maryâ??s name to the American Cancer Society and the Relay for Life. Memorial Mass will be Friday July 9th, 2010 at 11AM at St. Stephenâ??s Catholic Church 525 Jackson Street, Anoka, MN. Visitation one hour prior to service. Private inurnment Calvary Cemetery.
