Obituary

Marjorie was born on May 6, 1923, in Minneapolis to Lawrence and Nellie Forse. Marge was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She lived a fulfilling life centered around God and family. She displayed never-ending kindness, a love of life, and an always joyful heart. Her strong faith and love for the Lord were integral to everything she did. After graduating from high school, she attended Minnesota State University Moorhead and obtained her teaching degree. She began her teaching career in Arlington, Minnesota. Eventually, she moved to the Anoka-Hennepin district, where she taught kindergarten and 1st grade at Morris Bye and Washington Elementary Schools. In 1955, she married Ralph Anderson, and they settled into their forever home, in Anoka, where they raised their son. Ralph and Marge were long-time members of Zion Lutheran Church and were very involved in serving and volunteering in the church ministries. In 1968, she played an integral part in the establishment of Zion Lutheran Pre-K in Anoka. This role became a passion until her retirement in the mid-1980s. Over the years, she also spent countless hours devoted to giving back to the community through several organizations, including Shriners Hospitals for Children, Lions Club, Eastern Star, Philolectian, and many more. Some of her true joys in life included time spent with family and friends, card clubs, making and eating lutefisk and lefse, spending time at the cabin on Big Birch Lake, and teaching and interacting with children. Marjorie was preceded in death by husband Ralph, parents Lawrence & Nellie Forse, sister Gladys Larson and brothers Kermit & Kenneth Forse.  She is survived by son Todd (Debbie) Anderson, grandchildren Kelsey, Travis (Erlinda), Courtney (Brett) and Rachel, great-grandsons Travis and Daniel, nieces and nephews. Memorial Service Tuesday, August 27 at 11 am at Zion Lutheran Church, 1601 4th Avenue, South, Anoka. Visitation one hour prior to service. Private Interment Rice Lake Cemetery, Braham, Minnesota. Memorials please to Zion Pre-K in care of Zion Church or to Shriners Children's Twin Cities.
