Johnson, Maria-Tereza "Terry", age 96 of Coon Rapids, passed away July 20, 2022 of natural causes.  She was born July 21, 1925 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil to Oscar Ramos and Sophia Porto Ramos.  She is preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Paulo, Mauricio and Luis Renato Porto Ramos.  Terry moved to New York and married Robert Lee Johnson "Bob" the love of her life, on March 14, 1947.  Bob and Terry remained in New York until 1955 after which they moved to Brazil for five years.  She had three children, Bruce Johnson, Roberta (Tim) Kortuem in New York, and Brian (Sue) Johnson in Brazil.  In 1960 the family moved to Minnesota.  Bob passed away on July 19, 1987.  Terry is survived by her three children; 4 grandchildren, Paul DesCombaz, Mike (Heather) DesCombaz, Lisa (Mason) Mund and Rachael Johnson; and 4 great-grandchildren, Jackson DesCombaz, Luke DesCombaz, Lucia Mund and Leeana Mund. She is also survived by her beloved family in Brazil, and Bob's family her in the U.S.  Terry was a hard worker, and a great volunteer in the community.  She worked for the Brazilian Consulate in New York and for the Cornelius Company in Anoka. She spoke three languages, and was an avid traveler.  She loved to knit and made knit caps for newborns which she donated to the church and hospital.  Those who knew and loved her called her "spunky".  She took her faith seriously, and loved her family.  Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, (8/9/2022) 10:30 am at Epiphany Catholic Church, 1900 - 111th Ave. NW, Coon Rapids.  Visitation 1 hour prior to service.  Interment Epiphany Cemetery.  We loved her and will miss her with all our hearts.  Arrangements entrusted to Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka, 763-421-0220
