Lynn M. Kraatz, age 64 of Andover, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, November 12, 2018 at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids.
Lynn was born October 28, 1954 in Minneapolis to Richard and Marleen (Wicherski) Ballanger. She was the former owner of Lynn's Cake and Candy Supplies for 37 years. Lynn beat lymphoma in 2007, and acute myeloid leukemia (AML) in 2017. She underwent a stem cell transplant and remained in remission until October, 2018 when the AML returned. This battle proved to be too much. Lynn's motivation in life revolved around her grandchildren; any chance to spend time with her family meant the world to her.
In addition to her parents, Lynn was preceded in death by her brother, Richie Ballanger. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her husband, Steve; children, Stephanie (Eric) Citrowske and Brian (Andrea) Kraatz; grandchildren, Tyler, Peyton, Harper, Charlotte and Colton; brothers, Greg (Paula) Ballanger and Paul Ballanger.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 19, 2018 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 1621 University Avenue NE, Minneapolis. Visitation 9:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at the church prior to Mass. Interment Gethsemane Cemetery, New Hope.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
