Obituary
Louis G. "Louie" Gottschalk, age 83 of Rogers, passed away on Monday, October 30, 2017 at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids.
Louie was born on July 10, 1934 in Maple Grove, Minnesota to Ludwig and Ethel (nee Blesi) Gottschalk. He served in the United States Army, including a tour of duty to Germany in the mid 1950's. Throughout his life, Louie enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, gardening, and spending time in the apple orchard. In his later years, he enjoyed wintering in Texas, and his dogs, Snuffer and Duke.
In addition to his parents, Louie was preceded in death by his brothers, Ernest, Robert, and George Gottschalk. He is survived by his sisters, Irene (Vern) Wellman and Clara Larson; former spouse, Carol Gottschalk; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, 700 Western Street, Anoka. Visitation one hour prior to the service at church (10:00 - 11:00 a.m.) Interment St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Osseo.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
