Lorraine Carolyn Schmitz, born on August 13, 1945, passed away at the age of 79 in Anoka, MN, on October 10, 2024.

A beloved member of the community, Lorraine dedicated many years to Kottke's Bus Service and Mork / Riverway Clinic, contributing significantly to both workplaces. Lorraine was a graduate of Cathedral High School in St. Cloud, MN, and later attended Anoka Vocational Technical College.
She was an active parishioner at St. Stephen's Catholic Church. Lorraine's hobbies included cross-stitching, camping, reading, and watching movies.

Lorraine is survived by her husband, Al Schmitz; children, Connie Stokes (Colin), David Schmitz (Liane), Mark Schmitz (Gina), Cheryl Dischinger (Donald), James Schmitz (Laura), and Robert Schmitz (Kris). 17 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren. Her life was preceded by her father, Edwin Thorne, her mother, Rita Thorne, and her brothers, John and Richard.

A visitation will be held on October 17, 2024, at 10:00 am at St Stephen's Catholic Church Anoka MN. Funeral mass will be held at 11:00 am with lunch to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations received at the visitation will be donated to Lorraine's two favorite charities.
