Lorraine Erma (Dhaene) Gagnon was born on Sept. 21, 1930 in Minneota, MN. Her parents were Alphonse and Irma Dhaene.
She received her education in Minneota, MN at the Catholic school.
On June 7, 1948 she as united in marriage to Walter Donald Gagnon Jr. at St. Edwards Catholic Church in Minneota, MN.
They both grew up in farm families. After they married they farmed the first seven years. During these seven years, they had three daughters, Marcella, Charlotte, Sharon. Their move took them to a rural community in Champlin, MN.
They became and Lorraine stayed a member of St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Anoka, MN.
During her first years in Champlin, she took in ironing, did house cleaning and daycare.
In her later years she was employed at Federal Cartridge in Anoka, MN.
Her last job was in the Dietary Dept. at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids, MN.
Her love for her flowers in the yard brought much joy she loved to bake and store up goodies in the freezer for her grandchildren. She enjoyed embroidering after retirement.
After Walters death in January, 2004, Lorraine remained in Champlin for four years until her move to Rochester, MN. Into assistant living until Oct. 2021 when she was moved to the Seasons Health Care in Trimont, MN.
Lorraine was called to eternal rest on Sunday, June 4, 2023 at the Seasons Health Care Facility in Trimont, MN at the age of 92.
Lorraine is survived by her three daughters, Marcella (Mike) Juhnke of River Falls, WI, Charlotte (Earl) Cordes of Sherburn, MN and Sharon Deilke of Aberden, SD; grandchildren, Robert (Ellinore) Nyguard and family, Amanda Juhnke, Rebecca Cordes, Andrew Cordes, Kevin (Cassie) Deilke and family, Matthew (Rochelle) Deilke and family, Adam Deilke, Nadine (Gary) Jordan and family, Blair Gagnon and son, Krystal Gagnon and family, Jerad (Shelby) Gagnon, Nathan Gagnon, Jacqueline Gagnon, Aaron Gagnon; sister-in-law, Diane (Lyle) Struthers; daughter-in-law, Janel Gagnon.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter Gagnon Jr.; 5 sisters; 3 brothers; grandson, Daniel Cordes; son, Douglas Gagnon; son-in-law, Ted Deilke.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, June 12, 2023 at 11 AM with a visitation one hour prior to Mass at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, 525 Jackson St., Anoka. Interment will follow the service at Calvary Cemetery in Anoka.
