Lorraine Dorothy Eaton (nee Strehlow), age 98, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 18, 2018 at Homestead of Anoka Care Center.

Lorraine was born on a farm near New England, North Dakota on August 19, 1919. Throughout her life, she nourished people around her with love, grace, faith, fashion, and music. She played the piano and organ and gave lessons for many years. She often entertained the residents at Homestead of Anoka with her gift of music by playing the piano. A love of music and close friends introduced her to her husband, Alvin G. Eaton. They were married on October 20, 1941. She was very active in her church, St. Luke's Lutheran Church in St. Louis Park. She was president of the Sunday School, sang in the choir and lead many Bible Study groups. A love of fashion lead Al and Lorraine to open their own clothing store, Eaton's.

Lorraine will be remembered as a woman of grace and a beautiful soul.

In addition to her parents, Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband, Al; brothers, Orville and Alan; and sister, Donna.  Left to honor Lorraine and remember her love and grace are her children, Kathy (Paul) Asted, Robert (Jennifer) Eaton; grandchildren, Richard (Pamela) Burmaster, Kristi (Sonny) Lee, Megan (Christopher Arndt) Eaton, Kirsten Eaton; great-grandchildren, Hayden, Brennan, Tessa, and Jenna.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 8, 2018 at St. Philip the Deacon Lutheran Church, 17205 County Rd 6, Plymouth, MN 55447. Interment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date.

Memorials will be given to music ministries of the family's choice.
